Upselling is a sales technique that involves promoting additional products or services to a customer who has already expressed interest in making a purchase.  The goal of upselling is to encourage your client to purchase another product or value-add service.

Authentic upselling is when you do this, and BOTH parties benefit.

Authentic upselling effectively grows your creative business, adds value to your client, and increases your revenue.

It's your opportunity to extend the partnership and continue to build your relationship with your existing client.

You do this by offering them a special package they CANNOT resist!

Here's how:

1) Add More Value - ALWAYS

The goal of the authentic upsell is to add more value to the overall experience. 

This, in turn, can lead to increased satisfaction and loyalty, which can benefit your creative business in several ways.

Satisfied clients are more likely to continue doing business with you and to recommend you to others. Adding more value to your clients can help differentiate you from your competitors, which can be a key factor in attracting and retaining long-term monthly clients!

2) Create a Sense of Urgency

There are several ways to create a sense of urgency for an offer:

  1. Set a time limit for the offer. This can be a specific date or time when the offer will expire.

  2. Limit the quantity of the offer. This can be a limited number of items available at a discounted price.

  3. Create a sense of scarcity. This can be done by highlighting how popular the offer is and how many clients have already taken advantage of it.

  4. Use strong and persuasive messaging. This can be done by emphasizing the offer's benefits and how it can help the customer.

  5. Use social proof. This can be done by highlighting the potential impact of the package OR actual results from another client taking advantage of this same package.

Overall, the key to creating a sense of urgency for an offer is to use a combination of these tactics to make the customer feel like they need to act quickly to take advantage of the deal.

3) Close it Out with a Killer CTA

This is a no-brainer, but it has to be said.

This is what we do best. So, close it out with a killer Call to Action, so they want to reply immediately.
